Insurance is mostly purchased on price, and without a detailed understanding of the cover that is provided, rather than value to the customer’s actual needs. The disconnect between the actual cover needed and the price can lead to conflict when an insurance claim is disputed or declined. Once your client receives a letter from their insurance company that has rejected or declined their claim, they will become unhappy and often ‘blame’ their insurance broker. Once your client decides to litigate you will lose your client and your reputation.
